Keloid Scars

Still need more info?

Keloids are a type of raised scar, they are often pink, red, skin coloured or darker than the surrounding tissue. They are the result of too much collagen and scar tissue formation, predominantly an overly aggressive healing response to a wound.

One of our Dermatologists can assess the scar for appropriate diagnosis and treatment. While there is no cure for scars, there are several treatment options to reduce their visibility. This may include excisional surgery, where the scar is cut out, and laser treatment.

Brisbane Skin take immense pride in providing scar solutions for our patients, talk to one of our staff members about your concern and we can offer the best standard of care.
